Compositions

FABLE OF JOY : Funky style. I opened an other window for breathing something else !

Elene DEE (voice) – Billy DREWES (saxophones) – David BERKMAN (piano) – Dominique DI PIAZZA (bass) – Manhu ROCHE (drums)
Recorded FRANCE, 2008

SCRIPT : It is like the script of a film, with cuts, short stories, atmospheres and scripts that blend with each other and then thwart each other. It is a spiritual, meditative, John COLTRANE-style drum solo by Manhu ROCHE. The drums also represent the various different beats of the story.

Elene DEE (voice) – Billy DREWES (saxophones) – David BERKMAN (piano) – Thomas BRAMERIE (bass) – Manhu ROCHE (drums)
Recorded FRANCE, 2008

HOW DEEP IS THE LIGHT : I composed this piece when I was living on Manhattan, NYC. In 1996, At the Steve LACY’s concert, he was playing, and was reciting his story with his saxophone. It was a very deep concert. Then I came back home, and I composed “How deep is the light”.

Elene DEE (voice) – Eddie GOMEZ (double-bass) – David BERKMAN (piano) – Billy DREWES (saxophones) – Matt WILSON (drums)
Recorded on NYC USA, 2005
